Abstract

This editorial summarizes the materials from the first issue of 2026, united by the idea of moving toward predictive and personalized medicine in obstetrics and gynecology. Original research presents digital models for risk stratification of preterm birth and preeclampsia, neural network algorithms for selecting therapy for ovulation disorders, immunological and coagulation markers of placental complications, as well as data on long-term cardiometabolic risks after preeclampsia and factors preserving ovarian reserve. Review publications highlight current understanding of thrombosis pathogenesis in paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria, the role of natriuretic peptide in obstetrics and neonatology, immunocoagulation mechanisms of amniotic fluid embolism, the molecular basis of HPV-associated neoplasia, and fertility restoration strategies in women of late reproductive age. A clinical case of antenatal diagnosis of placenta accreta using modern ultrasound criteria is presented. The issue also includes retraction note due to identified unfair plagiarism, underscoring the editorial board's commitment to publication ethics. Taken together, the materials in this issue reflect contemporary developments in the specialty – risk stratification, personalized therapy, and the expansion of preventive care in obstetrics and gynecology.
