The importance of high-quality counseling for prescribing estrogen-progestogen medications is emphasized. Clinical situations for the preferential choice of a three-phase combined ethinyl estradioland desogestrel-based contraceptive are described.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В статье представлены общие сведения о демографических процессах в России и актуальности использования высокоэффективных средств защиты от нежелательной беременности, в частности комбинированных оральных контрацептивов (КОК), с целью профилактики артифициальных абортов. Акцентировано важное значение качественного консультирования для назначения эстроген-гестагенного препарата.
