Results of the studies on the potential of hormone replacement therapy in prevention of this group of disorders are controversial and require further investigation. However, following healthy lifestyle, certain diets as well as regular physical and mental activity can minimize the risks of dementia and ensure normal mental performance in old age. </p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Когнитивные нарушения в постменопаузе снижают качество жизни женщин, их социальную и семейную адаптацию и могут привести к осложнениям, таким как деменция и, в частности, болезнь Альцгеймера. Результаты исследований относительно возможностей менопаузальной гормональной терапии для профилактики этой группы расстройств противоречивы и требуют дальнейшего изучения.
